Telomeres – Treating Telomeres With Skin Cream

Can you really reverse the aging process with a skin cream? There is a way that this is possible, when you are targeting the telomeres. Which are the very end of each chromosome in your body, A piece of your DNA that is linked to the aging process, Every time a chromosome splits the telomeres get shorter, and the shorter it becomes the harder it is for that cell to split and soon it will no longer divide and will in turn die, When your cells die it adds to the aging process, in fact it is the aging process.

In order to slow down this process you need to be able to keep your cells alive and healthy. There are two ways to preserve and renew your telomeres.

The 2 ways skin cream can help your telomeres:

1. A telomere repair cream – using a telomere repair cream will help your skin renews its self as well as protect the telomeres that you have left. A cream will penetrate your skin and slowly start new build up your cell and telomere supply.

2. Anti-oxidant – you need to protect your skin from the harmful effects of the environment as well as the free radicals within your body. The only way to fight these free radicals is to get anti-oxidants from the food, drink and skin creams that you use daily, this will create a healthier environment within your body, which will in turn help your cells grow and deplete much more slowly.

When you are considering fighting aging telomeres with a telomere repair cream you need to make sure you are buying a reputable skin care product from a reputable company, many companies will claim to do things that they cannot do, offering miracles but no proof to back up what they are claiming.

So it is possible to fight aging telomeres with a skin cream, And it is possible to reverse the signs of aging if you know what you are doing, And know what products to use to get the best results. Do your homework and provide your skin with a telomere repair cream that will indeed do as it says, Also try and find one that also provides anti-oxidants for your skin, this will help fight off any unwanted chemicals and environmental toxins.

Youthful Skin For Life – Top 3 Skin-Care Tips For Beautiful Skin

Skin-care is a touchy topic for some people, many are too ashamed to seek treatment for severe conditions. Others have less severe conditions and simply want to look better and younger. Mankind is always searching for the “fountain of youth” but I would not hold my breath waiting if I were you. To get the best, most youthful skin possible, follow these suggestions that you can implement today to improve your skin’s appearance. It might be tempting to implement some of these ideas and not others, and that’s fine, but all of these are designed to work together synergystically. Let’s get started.

First, I can almost guarantee you don’t drink enough water. The adage has been “8 glasses a day” keeps the doctor away. Many people take this as a recommended guideline… in fact, it’s just the recommended minimum. If you re serious about having the best looking skin possible, you need to up your intake to 1/2 – 2 gallons of water per day. This might sound excessive at first, and your body will have to adjust to the higher intake: you will be going to the bathroom a lot the first few days, but this is a good thing as it is flushing toxins from your skin, liver, and kidneys, where toxin build up causes diseases of the skin such as acne.

If you want a definitive number to shoot for, you can’t go wrong with a gallon per day. This is the amount that most models with “picture-perfect” skin drink to keep their complexion healthy. The reason why this is number one is because we are made of 70% water. Increased water intake also leads to increased levels of protein synthesis, which will assist in skin healing.

Second, try to cut any dairy out of your diet. Not only is dairy not very good for keeping off the pounds, many dairy products contain animal androgens which our body detects as hormones, causing our faces to pump out massive amounts of oil to compensate. This results in the famous “pizza face” post-pizza breakout. If you like to eat a lot of dairy, slowly cut it out little by little until it is gone from your diet. You will find your entire body will thank you for this. Not only will you lose weight, you will lose body fat, and drastically improve your skin’s appearance.

Third, wash your face twice a day with a face wash with NO active ingredients. This seems counter-intuitive to people who are used to smearing the strongest available brand of acne medicated wash on their face five times a day. This only leads to more irritation. Irritation is the name of the game in skin care: minimize irritation and you will minimize skin problems.

A good brand is Cetaphil, but there are also drug store off-brand that are right next to it for about half the price (CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens should all have this). This face wash is extremely gentle, it is made using glycerin, which is very easy on your face. You can also get the matching moisturizer, and I’d highly recommend using that after every face wash.

These tips might seem basic, or even obvious, but you would be surprised how many skin problems result from not drinking enough water, eating dairy, or overwashing your skin. This only scratches the surface of the skin care tips I have learned over the years; To learn more about getting beautiful skin for life, check out my website in the resource box below. Take control of your skin-care right now! Don’t put it off, we are too beautiful to wait until tomorrow.

Head to Toe Winter Skin Care

Whether you love it or hate it, winter can be a horrible season for skin health. The cold temperatures, wind, and snow can leave your skin feeling dry, itchy, and uncomfortable. Don’t spend the next few months nursing your skin, instead be proactive and treat the problems before they start. Here are some great tips to make sure your skin stays healthy and smooth all season long.

Stay Protected: It seems that this can’t be stressed enough. Just because your bath suits and tanning oils are packed away until next summer doesn’t mean you can forget about sun block. The sun rays are just as destructive in the summer as they are in the winter so it’s important to make sure you wear spf 15 sunscreen when you’re going t o be outside for more than a few minutes. If you’re into outdoor sports like skiing or snowboarding you will want to take special care in protecting your skin.

Choose Winter Wear Wisely: If you have sensitive skin and are prone to dry itchy and sometimes painful skin during the winter month, consider swapping out your wool scarves and hats for cotton ones. During the cooler months you’re often going from the warm and cozy indoors to the frosty outdoors and back again. This causes you to sweat. Wool, which is already itchy, can become quite uncomfortable if you’re sweating, and will ultimately add to your winter skin woes.

Moisturize: Moisturizing your skin during the winter months is extremely important to maintaining healthy, soft skin. Choose moisturizers that are rich in vitamin A, B, and E or that have skin soothing additives like aloe. Get the most out of your moisturizing routine by applying lotion after bathing. Steer clear of fragrant lotions that may irritate sensitive skin.

Shower with Care: After a long day of work or school you may be tempted to hop into a steaming hot shower and wash away the day. Unfortunately, the comfort is short lived. Long hot showers can leave your skin dry and cause irritation and itching. Try to keep super hot showers to a minimum and stick with warm water. Make sure you use extra moisturizing soaps or body washes to get the most out of your shower.

Stop Chapped Lips: Lips are often the first part of your body to suffer from the colder weather. The cold air dries out your lips and out of habit the majority solves this problem by licking our lips for instant relief. Unfortunately licking your lips depletes it of vital nutrients and it only continues the chapped lip cycle. Carry a moisturizing lip gloss or balm with you all the time and resist the temptation to lick them. Look for lip glosses and balms that have aloe, are vitamin rich, or are made of beeswax.

Protect Your Hands: The colder weather, especially snow and freezing rain takes its toll on your hands. Your hands typically will lose heat at a much faster rate than the center of your body. Make it a habit to wear gloves when you’re going out to brave the weather. It’s also helpful if you wear rubber gloves during when cleaning or doing dishes.

Best Skin Care For Rosacea

Rosacea can be an extremely embarrassing and distressing condition to suffer from. The skin can look so red, dry and flaky that people may think that you are sun burned, so flushed that you look like you’re going through the menopause or like a teenager because of all the pimples and spots. The best way to treat rosacea is to look after your skin and use the best skin care products available. I’m going to discuss the best skin care for rosacea and I will recommend particular types of products.

Use fragrance and irritant free skin care products
It is essential to use fragrance and irritant free skin care products. This is because many products contain chemicals that can burn, sting, irritate and dehydrate your skin. In a survey sent out to sufferers by the National Rosacea Society, ingredients such alcohol, witch hazel, fragrance, menthol, peppermint, eucalyptus oil, clove oil and salicylic acid were found to irritate the skin in many cases. They also concluded that the use of astringents and exfoliating products should be avoided.

Many dermatologists recommend that you start the day by cleansing your face with a gentle cleanser or with mild soap. Make sure that the products you use are smooth and do not contain any grainy or abrasive ingredients. Massage the cleanser or soap into the face either with your fingertips or using a soft washcloth. Absolutely do not use rough cloths, loofahs or sponges. Rinse your face thoroughly with lukewarm water and dab your face gently with a dry with a thick cotton towel. Leave your face alone for several minutes before you apply any topical moisturizing or medicated creams and for a further five to ten minutes before applying any make-up.

Sometimes, it can be confusing to decide which skin care products are best for rosacea. Products from the Zenmed, Aveeno and Cetaphil range are often recommended: they are specifically created for problem skin.

Use sunscreens and sunblocks
It is essential for rosacea sufferers to wear sunscreen or sunblock when going outside because exposure to ultraviolet light will cause rosacea to flare up. Make sure you wear a sunscreen of SPF 15 or higher which is fragrance and alcohol free so as not to irritate the skin. Examples of recommended products are Neutrogena sun block for sensitive skin, Rosacea Care sunscreen and Clinique Super City Block SPF 25. Some sun is good for you – don’t regard it as your enemy. By using a suitable sunscreen, a wide-brimmed sun hat and sunglasses, both your facial skin and eyes will be protected.

Use mineral make-up
Most women can’t live without make-up. It’s especially important for rosacea sufferers since they use it to camouflage the redness. Unfortunately, many products contain synthetic chemicals that can irritate the skin and aggravate rosacea symptoms. Mineral make-up is often recommended for rosacea and other problem skin conditions. It’s made up of finely milled minerals and is formulated with natural ingredients which are suitable for sensitive skin. Unlike many other products, mineral make-up doesn’t clog up pores and helps to prevent pimples and spots forming. The Bare Escentuals cosmetic company has a great mineral foundation that covers up the rosacea symptoms and protects the skin with a natural SPF 15 sunscreen.

The most effective way for rosacea sufferers to care for their skin is to use fragrance and irritant free skin care products, to protecting their skin from the sun by using a suitable sunscreen and to use mineral make-up to hide skin redness.

The Untold Secrets About Organic Skin Care

Organic skin care is the name given to natural skin care treatments such as herbs and products made of a blend of different organic plants. These products are simple and very effective. They have no harmless effects because of the fact that they are made with all pure substances.

Many people are now considering organic skin care as it has been proved to be successful for many skin disorders. There are now hundreds of companies that manufacture natural skin care products ranging from simple moisturizers to cosmetics, including foundations and concealers.

Seaweed, neem, lettuce, fenugreek, lemon and many others are herbs that are excellent for skin health. The kind of products to choose depends largely on your skin type. If your skin is oily you may consider buying a moisturizer system with a lot of oil in it. However, for oily skin the same moisturizers can be a nightmare.

The advantage of organic skin products is that they are suitable for nearly all skin types. They might cause irritation if you have damaged or over-sensitive skin, but other than that, there are no side effects associated with their application. Vitamin C is good for dry skin. Similarly, collagen and elastin are good for aging skin and wrinkles.

There are some products that claim to be completely organic but in reality they are not. You should be aware of these products and choose only those that come from reputed manufacturers. A good way to know about the effectiveness of a particular product is to read user reviews about it. If customers are satisfied, it means the product is in fact very effective.

Another way is to look for manufacturers that have organic certification. Not all manufacturers are certified to provide natural skin care or organic skin care products to their customers. It’s ok to have non-organic substances in a product, but the overall quality should be excellent in this case and should comply with international quality standards.

You should avoid ingredients such as parabens, which are added as preservatives to many skin products and particularly organic skin products. Since these substances contain carbon, many people list them as organic compounds but in reality they are not good for the skin. Be on the look out for such ingredients in a product before buying it to avoid health complications.

Organic skin care is being advertised massively these days but the above-mentioned points are some of the untold secrets that most people don’t know about. Always keep these points in mind so that you don’t put your health to risk just because a lot of advertisements are saying that organic products are the way to go.

Does Rosacea Laser Treatment Work For Sensitive SKin?

If you are considering rosacea laser treatment, here are some facts that may help you to decide whether this is a good rosacea treatment option for your sensitive skin.

Did you know that one of out every five diagnoses made by dermatologists is for rosacea?

Rosacea is an unfortunately a very common chronic skin problem especially for people over 30. Some people begin to see signs of rosacea around age 25 with flushing and redness of the face.

If rosacea progresses, you will begin to see small red bumps on your face, some of which may look like acne sores. Eventually the face becomes permanently red and the skin thickens.

Although most rosacea sufferers are women, men who get rosacea are more likely to develop rosacea symptoms that cause the nose to become large and thickened.

If you begin to see signs that you may have rosacea, the time to take care of this is right now. Don’t wait! Even though there is no known medical cure for rosacea, you may be able to reverse or even eliminate many of the symptoms.

To do this you will need early rosacea treatment combined with healthy lifestyle and diet adaptations that will help your skin to stop the cycle of inflammation and redness.

Initial Rosacea Treatments

Most dermatologists will initially treat rosacea with medications and topical creams, along with lifestyle and dietary instructions to minimize your rosacea outbreaks.

Sometimes these rosacea treatments, combined with a more healthy natural diet, are enough to get your rosacea under control. Many cases of sensitive skin respond well to a less toxic diet and lifestyle. If not, then your doctor will likely recommend rosacea laser treatment.

Rosacea Laser Treatment

Rosacea laser treatments first were used in the 1980′s, and newer and gentler technologies were developed in the 1990′s. These have shown some promise in treating some of the more severe rosacea symptoms like red bumps, spider veins, thickened skin, and permanently reddened skin.

These do have some risks and side effects for sensitive skin, and so you want to be cautious in your approach, and to work with a very skilled dermatologist to minimize any risks.

How Laser Treatment Works

A laser emits wavelengths of light which act on the swollen blood vessels right below the skin which cause the redness. The laser effectively disintegrates the swollen blood vessels, thus reducing the redness in the skin.

Lasers can also stop the thickening of skin that happens with advanced rosacea which can enlarge the nose and cheeks. In severe cases of rosacea, lasers can help the skin to return to a more normal and healthy appearance.

Rosacea Laser Treatment Side Effects

When you have sensitive skin, it is wise to be cautious before trying any kind of laser or surgical treatments. It is always best to try all the other options first such as a rosacea diet, rosacea home remedies, and rosacea medications FIRST.

The reason for this is because laser treatments are intense. They cause temporary bruising which last 1-2 weeks before fading. You may also experience a temporary darkening of the skin. You may see a lot of swelling and redness on your face for a few days.

In addition, laser treatments are not a rosacea cure. You may need lifelong follow up treatments.

After all this, there is a chance that rosacea laser treatments may not work. And for some people, they may actually make your rosacea worse.

Types of Rosacea Laser Treatment

There are new technologies coming out all the time that are attempting to create the maximum benefits for rosacea patients, with a minimum of bruising, redness and other side effects.

Although some research suggests that laser treatments that induce bruising MAY be more effective, this isn’t an option that will work for many people who are unable to take several weeks away from their job until the bruising heals.

Most laser Treatments for rosacea fall into two categories:

Pulsed Dye Laser (PDL) requires up to three treatments, spaced six to eight weeks apart.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a newer technology which bruise less, and which require four to six treatments spaced three weeks apart.

Some new technologies such as a high-energy, long pulse-duration pulsed-dye laser are now emerging which are demonstrating better results, less side effects and less bruising.

Other Considerations for Rosacea Laser Treatment

Most laser treatments for rosacea cost anywhere from 0 to 0 per session. These treatments are generally not covered by medical insurance. As I mentioned before, laser treatments are NOT a rosacea cure, and you will likely need lifelong follow up treatments.

Another important thing to consider is your choice of doctor. You REALLY want to be sure that you choose a very skilled, very experienced doctor who has SPECIFIC knowledge of how to use laser treatment with rosacea. The reason for this is that the doctor needs to create an even skin tone for the entire face. If he or she over treats an area, you will have a white patch on your face!

Rosacea laser treatment may be an effective rosacea treatment for sensitive skin if you have exhausted all other treatment options and still have not found relief from your moderate or severe rosacea symptoms. Educate yourself and be sure to choose an excellent doctor who has all the necessary skills, and who can help you make informed choices about your rosacea treatments. Done correctly, rosacea laser treatments have helped many people to ease their symptoms and to live more happily without the pain and embarrassment that rosacea can cause.

Rosacea Acne Skin Care

Acne rosacea is an unknown but far more sinister and far less recognizable version of acne than the zit-and-blackhead variety. In fact, diagnoses ranging from allergies to alcoholism may precede its final identification.

Acne rosacea is characterized by morbidly inflamed skin, typically on the cheeks, forehead, nose, eyelids and, rarely, on the chest. The skin eruptions associated with acne rosacea can vary from the bulging of capillary blood vessels to sizeable pus-filled cysts. Because of the disfigurement acne rosacea can cause, the disorder is often accompanied by depression, social isolation and high levels of stress.

Its holistic treatment may therefore have to include a certain degree of therapy. Unhappily, lack of knowledge about rosacea can lead to serious complication while attempting to treat it. This is because it is often mistakenly thought to be acne and treated accordingly. The compounds used in addressing acne can seriously exacerbate acne rosacea symptoms.

The correct course of action is to correct the imbalances in skin environment, specifically by restoring deleted zinc, mineral and hydration levels. Naturally occurring plant extracts like aloe vera, rosehip, and chamomile can be of some benefit. A qualified dermatologist must be consulted for further pharmacological intervention.

Effective relief from the rosacea variety of acne will depend largely on lifestyle changes. Oral water intake must be stepped up to at least eight glasses per day, both to rehydrate the skin and to calm the metabolic stress alarm. The use of alcohol and stimulants like coffee, tea and cigarettes entirely eliminated, since these encourage excessive sebaceous gland excretions. Hot/icy cold showers, abrasive soaps and exposure to the sun are also detrimental. These measures, together with proper hygiene, a stress-reducing exercise regimen, and regular sleep habits (at least seven hours per night) can go a long way in alleviating rosacea.

But don’t let that put you off, there is also some great information about skin care for Rosacea patients as well. Skin Care For Rosacea

When it comes to skin care for Rosacea sufferers, then the first thing we need to do is take a look at the amount and the quantity of chemicals that we subject our skin to.

We are probably all guilty of using a bit too much makeup, especially when we see the first signs of Rosacea. But to stop the condition exploding, we need to cut our cosmetic consumption right back.

We also need to look at what we are using on our skin and maybe try changing our normal brands for brands which are more friendly towards Rosacea patients. Give mineral powder a try, I’m not going to mention any particular brand, because the formula seems to change regularly. But when you are in the store take a close look at the labels and try to find a brand that doesn’t contain mica or bismuth oxychloride. Both of these chemicals could easily trigger a Rosacea flare up.

Whilst talking about our cosmetic brands, always try to find the brands which seem to be frugal with its list of ingredients. When it comes to applying chemicals to our skin, then always keep in mind that less is best. By keeping it simple we reduce the chances of one of the ingredients causing an outbreak.

If you can find products that serve two purposes then so much the better, Products that can multi-task, such as green tinted base, that also has a built-in sunscreen is much better than wearing two separate products.

Finally, invest in the correct tools to apply your makeup. Anti-bacterial brushes are a much better option for applying cosmetics than a rough sponge or your finger, especially as your fingers may introduce bacteria and oils that will cause skin irritation.

Just by remembering these simple tips and acting on them next time you apply your makeup, you can be sure that you are reducing your chances of another Rosacea flare up.

Your Acne Rosacea Skin Care is Connected With Your PH Balance

It really starts from the inside. By making sure your pH balance stays in range, you can take full control of your acne rosacea skin care. The start of acne rosacea comes from the acid accumulation within the body. And if it is not eliminated probably from your body, then the acid sits there and builds up within the body. And this acid build-up is what causes sickness, disease, acne, rosacea, etc. If you start watching your pH balance in the foods you eat and drink, this can help greatly in controlling your acne rosacea.

The pH scale range is between 0 to 14. The higher the pH, the more alkaline the food and/or drink is which is very good. The lower the pH, the more concern you should have in what you are eating. Food and drink with a low pH are just not good for you. Your pH balance should always stay more on the alkaline side between 7.35 and 7.45. This is neutral and very normal. A good rule to follow is, you should eat only 20% of acid forming foods and drinks and 80% of alkaline forming foods and drinks daily. Food and drink with more alkaline is very good. The 20% and 80% is considered to be a good balance in your diet when you are watching your pH balance.

Work on neutralizing your overall acid in your body. You need to learn how to do this so you can change your diet. Lots of water is very good. Water is alkalined with a pH of 7.3. Start drinking 8 glasses of water per day. Fresh fruits and vegetables have a pH of 7.0 and higher. Any pH below 7.0 is not the best and should be eaten at low levels. Some foods and drinks below 7.0 are: beef(5.0), sugar-white(5.0), pasta(5.0), coffee(2.2,sorry I like coffee too), beer(2.0), wine(3.0), vodka(4.0), soda(2.0), etc. You get the picture.

If you decide to change your diet, you will start to see amazing positive results in your acne rosacea skin care. If you do pursue with this, then start out slowly and gradually. This way, you will be easing into this new diet.

In order to start testing the acid and the alkaline within your body, go to your pHarmacy/drug store and purchase some pH paper strips. The pH paper strips will help you measure the pH within your body. The pH strips will definitely let you know if you are eating right or not.

Monitoring your pH balance and changing your diet will keep your system clean and eliminate waste more quickly from your body. The longer the waste remains there inside your body, the more acid build up and then you have sickness and all kinds of health problems that come along. You do not want this. Start from the inside and this will help tremendously in your acne rosacea skin care. Alright, let’s get started.

Rosacea Symptoms and Rosacea Skin Care For You

Rosacea usually targets people over thirty, and is often confused with adult acne. Rosacea symptoms include a red flushed appearance, and pimples.

Rosacea is one of those skin conditions that not too many people know too much about. Some people do not even realize that they have rosacea.

One reason for this is that the symptoms of rosacea are not always the same and different things can cause this skin disease in different people. Outbreaks are sometimes influenced by environmental triggers, the most common being sun and hot weather. What you could think is ordinary sunburn, or a rash of pimples could in actual fact be rosacea. Humidity and stress can also pay a role. You could also trigger rosacea by eating certain foods or using skin products that you are sensitive to.

It is believed that rosacea is caused mainly from living a stressed and unhealthy lifestyle. Lack of sleep also plays a large role in developing this skin condition. Certain foods can trigger rosacea, including too much fat, rich foods, very spicy or acidic foods. Alcohol intake plays a role, as it dries out the skin, and when the skin is dry, it is prone to many skin conditions. Avoid caffeine, and that doesn’t mean just coffee, but things like chocolates, and certain sodas.

If rosacea is left untreated, it will result in discoloration of the skin, as the enlarged blood vessels will form dark blotches. The nose will also become enlarged and red. Rosacea is quite a common skin condition and affects 1 in 20 people, but women are the most susceptible.

There are a lot of different treatments available for this skin disease, as people all get rosacea in different ways. Avoiding the triggers is the most effective method of control. At first it will be trial and error, until you figure out what is causing the rosacea.

Treatment will range from home remedies to laser therapy. Erythromycin and clindamycin are sometimes used to treat rosacea as well as acne. A doctor could recommend a topical steroid, but one must be careful with these, and there are serious side effects. There are also prescription cleansers which can be used for six months at a time under a doctors supervision. As there are side effects, you will need to be monitored. Women using these cleansers need to be especially careful, because if they fall pregnant they could harm the fetus.

There is no cure for rosacea, but you can control it by avoiding the things that trigger the condition for you.
